Founder and Adviser, NorthArc

Stephen Pell is the founder of NorthArc, a specialist UK-to-US tax and structuring practice for technology, AI and media companies. He is a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants and a Chartered Tax Adviser, and he writes, reviews and signs every article on The Crossing Brief.

His work centres on the decisions where how a company is set up matters most: taking US investment, setting up US operations, restructuring a group, relocating a founder, and getting ready for investment, diligence or a sale, while protecting UK reliefs such as SEIS, EIS, EMI and R&D.

Stephen previously built and exited a specialist advisory business, expanded companies internationally, and has led a venture-backed technology company from the founder’s side of the table.
